On March 9th 2012 DEAL finalised an agreement with William Brothers Contruction Co. for the supply of a launching girder LG 120/40 for the erection of the prefabricated beams of the Copano Bridge Project (Texas, USA).
The project consists of the replacement of the existing 2.5 km bridge straddling Copano Bay in South West Texas.
Due to the proximity of the new bridge to the existing one, construction will be organized in three phases: in the first phase a partial section of the new bridge is built; in a second stage traffic is diverted to the new bridge while the old one is demolished; in the third and final stage the new bridge is completed.
DEAL will supply to William Brothers Contruction Co. a launching girder with higher capacity than required, which will allow the Texan contractor to employ the equipment also for future projects.
